3.6.15. Profiles utility

The profiles utility allows the user to view board information and manage user-defined settings for the current board model. The utility can be used to view the current profile, list all available profiles, and read or write user-defined settings for the current board revision.

Note

The profiles utility is intended for advanced users and developers who need to customize the behaviour of the Red Pitaya board on custom Red Pitaya boards with different acquisition and generation limits.

User-defined values

The following user-defined values can be modified:

  • fast_adc_rate - Fast ADC sampling rate.

  • fast_dac_rate - Fast DAC sampling rate.

  • spec_max_rate - Maximum frequency value for spectrum analyzer.

  • adc_low_pass - Value of the low-pass filter for the ADC.

  • dac_low_pass - Value of the low-pass filter for the DAC.

  • gen_min_speed - Minimum allowable frequency for the generator.

  • gen_max_speed - Maximum allowable frequency for the generator.

Note

These values all represent the software limits of the Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer and Signal generator applications. Changing these values will not change the hardware limits of the board.

Here is an example of how to set the ADC low-pass filter limit to 125 MHz:

profiles -w adc_low_pass 125000000
